Salmon, Roasted Garlic & Pimento Pate

Perfect for any party or just a treat for yourself, this Salmon Pate is a show stopper! 

Ingredients:

6 garlic cloves roasted in oven (skin on) for 25 minutes

100 g smoked salmon

30 ml chopped, chargrilled pimento (skin off)

100 g smooth cream cheese

40 g butter, melted

10 ml lemon juice and rind of half a lemon

1 ml cayenne pepper

salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  • Squeeze the garlic out of its casings
  • Add all the ingredients in a food processor and blend together to make a chunky pate OR cut up and mix well.
  • Serve on Melba rounds or cucumber rounds
